Hi, I have recently been made homeless due to Repossesion of the property I had been renting a room in, I have been to view properties but everywhere needs a deposit up front which I simply do not have and cannot borrow from anybody it is NOT an option. Is there any social welfare service/relieving officer or help out there that can provide me with money to pay off a small deposit? €300 is needed upfront. I am in the Drogheda area. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should bring as much supporting documents as possible with you e.g. id, bank statements, proof of income, proof of the circumstances that you describe. Bring what you can & you'll be told what other documents are required to process the claim if you're eligible.

I think you are supposed to already have a house and paid the first part of the rent before you can get help.
