Between the recent 'blond Romas' and the '14, going on 25, Aussie' , I wonder will the Press office be holding fire in future until all the facts have been established before dishing out press releases which end up making the force look very inept - or does anybody use common sense and experience any more.

It can be difficult to determine the true age of every person by just looking at them and noting their mannerisms.

My partner is 29 yrs old and up until 2 yrs ago she was always asked for ID going into nite clubs where she was not recognised. Everyone knows someone who is older than they look

Where's the problem. The blonde Roma was an investigation, which has concluded as the facts are now known (who her parents are). AGS never said she wasn't with her real parents, but given the circumstances, they investigated, or in other words, did their job. Unlike the media who spread misinformation for shock value.

As for the Aussie, if it wasn't for AGS standing up to the HSE and going to court, she would still be an unknown. AGS don't "age" people either, that would be down to a medical professional.

Get your facts straight before you jump on the pop media bandwagon like all the other sheeple.

If anything they didn't jump the gun enough with the Aussie girl, would have been sorted in a day or so but their hands were tied by the HSE.

It's very hard to gauge a liar if they don't speak.

I see no other way the garda could have handled it.

    Edit

She is gone at least 2 members get a free trip to Australia.

What have the Press Office said that's upset you in particular? There is a big difference from what they release to what the reporters get themselves.
