Ive lost some channels since the wind got up last week,

    TCM OK
    TCM+1 NO SIGNAL
    SONY MOVIES NO SIGNAL
    HORROR NO SIGNAL
    MOVIES FOR MEN NO SIGNAL
    CBS NO SIGNAL

A few others but most of the channels are fine RTE, SKY CHANNELS, BBC
    CH4, GOLD, FOX, etc..
I have disconnected from mains , no joy.
If the dish has moved would i not lose all channels?

Not necessarily, a dish that has only moved a little bit may still be sufficiently aligned to pick up some channels.
There should be a signal indicator if you go through the menus (im presuming its a SKY box)

Try powering off the box by disconnecting the power for 1 min, then plug back in, and see if they return.

Sometimes the tuner (if using the secondary tuner) in the box can go nuts and give you a no signal.

It could also be a dish/lnb problem. Your sky dish on the house points at 2 satellites and the content of sky digital is split between the 2. If the allignment is off slightly, this will give you a problem where the box cannot lock a signal on the second satellite.

Just moved the dish slightly, got all channels back.
