hudson trailers

    Hi does anyone know who deals in Hudson trailers.I I know there is a company in Armagh and in Longford but is there anyone else?

    corry agri supplies in fermanagh does hudson, i bought a second hand hudson there, 12 by 6 two axle, great trailer very robust

    ifor williams seem to be a softer trailer as i have a plant trailer and not as tough as the hudson

    hudson tows well aswell

    have a landcruiser in front of it and its an unstoppable combination !!!

    Gerard clarkes sell hudsons I have a tri axle 12x6 bought through clarkes. got best deal of them at the time with trade in. Good steady trailer with mighty brakes on tri axle. Fair weight of a trailer though

    ifor Williams digger trailer seems to push me on more though.

    ifor Williams digger trailer seems to push me on more though.

    out of curiosity when was the last time the brakes on the IW were overhauled, adjusted at the hub rather than on the cables. cables also stick and stretch.
    when a lorry goes in for a service the brakes are adjusted, we all neglect the brakes on trailers.

    was adjusting the brakes on the vacuum tank last year when a neighbour arrives,

    told me he has a tank 5 years and never adjusted them, if I recall correctly his tractor brakes gives him a lot of grief, wonder why :)

    By adjusting them I presume you mean joining the brake pipe back together after pulling away leaving it plugged in ! Thats all the adjusting I see the brother doing anyhow ha ha

    F****r here dropped the dump trailer in such a hurry one day dragged it 30 yards by pipes, he laughed at me when i came at him about it. :-(

    Ive seen that happen too often to the father because he gives anything to anyone and never says a word when be has to fix it up . If things like that go
    unpaid for they will keep happening

    Interesting observation that seeing as they all use Knott/Avonride hubs and brakes...

    Can't help you re. Hudson trailers but a friend who is a fitter makes & repairs trailers says that Nugent trailers are the best on the market, they are head and shoulders above Ifor Williams, Hudson etc . regarding quality of material used, welding, galvansing and general design, according to him they are bullet proof, and this guy known his trailers....just something to consider.
