Apologies if this is in the wrong forum , feel free to move.

My Parents have a Walker TV and the child lock was accidently turned on and the TV turned to standby mode. This has happened before and the tv normally comes back on by using the remote but it happened today and now it wont come back on. They don't use the tv remote , only the UPC one and power the tv off from the button. So thinking their was a problem with the remote they changed the batteries , no luck then borrowed a neighbours who has the same tv but still no luck. The standby light is on so there's power in it and it was working fine before this.

Any ideas before they crack up ?

    Yes Dantan,

You've probably sorted yours by now but as posted above my Dad removed the back and it was very dusty so he hoovered the inside, replaced the back and it came back on.

This issue has just occurred for me. Walker WP401 TV. Have left unplugged, powered up but still will not switch on. No signs of dust in the back. The sensor for the remote is showing as active so I don't think that this is a power issue.
