How to claim tax back?

    hello all ive been working for 6 weeks now and i have been taxed quite a bit. I am not supposed to pay tax as i earn under 10k a year. How do i claim my tax back? what forms do i need to fill out to get that money back and how soon can i do it?

    It depends. Is this your very first employment in Ireland ever? If so, its a Form 12A you need to complete and send to Revenue to register you and your employment.
    If its not your first employment, call your local PAYE 1890 number with your pps, the date you started, how often paid and your new employers PAYE registered number.

    Both of the above result in a tax credit cert issuing to your new employer who will refund any overpayment of tax in your wages. You may find the link below helpful.
