Encrypting a Dual Boot HDD

So over the weekend I decided to “refresh” an old netbook. I reinstalled (via the OEM disc) Windows 7 Starter and I also partitioned its HDD and put Ubuntu onto it. Now I always do a full drive encryption on my laptops / netbooks. I normally go with Truecrypt however while going through the setup process (I selected dual OS on the HDD, etc.) and it tells me that Truecrypt cannot be used on dual-boot systems where both OS are on the same (portioned) HDD. I think they have to be on physically two separate HDDs.

Can anyone suggest any alternatives / options for me or can it not be done?
