Am i responsible for this whole mess?! Rent Allowance

Im on Disability, she is on Back to Ed, both receiving 188 a week. (Dublin 6) Our rent is 650, our contribution was always 150 when rent was due each month. We had a rent review this June.

After review, had a look at the rent receipt that you get from SW each week, and it was different instead of 115, it said 61.30. Went to the officer, him basically saying there is no mistake.

We were a bit puzzled, went home reviewed it, called up Citizens Information explained the information. Was told to ignore it, and it was a mistake. Ok so i ignored it.

Today my landlord, comes. Says he is getting less money from welfare and our contribution by his math should be now 385!! instead of the 150.. So we are in arreas for a damn 1000.

I dont know what to do now. He comes today telling us we are in arreas after 5 months?!? He did not notice he was getting paid less say after a month??

So im in panic now, hoping to find a tree that will grow a damn grand. Who is to blame for this?! What to do? Hope for some advice:(

Ring your social welfare office and make an appointment.
It might be a mistake on their part as they do happen.
They are the only people that can sort it for you.
