Has anyone had recent experience with myblinds.ie?

I ordered and paid for a blind from myblinds.ie on the 15th of October. I'd read good things, knowledgeable, fast delivery and cost effective, they seemed the ticket.

I'd been told I'd have them within 10 days. I took that to mean business days. I was given a progress page to follow my order. All good I thought.

No developments on the update page, it's still processing. I sent two email asking was there a problem? The first (Tuesday) was ignored. The second (Wednesday) received the reply that the blind would be here Friday or Monday, was that alright?

I phoned this morning, (Tuesday 5th) I was told they are on the truck to you today. Clearly they were not. No blinds so far.

It's not lookin' good for myblinds.ie

Has anyone had recent experience with myblinds.ie?

Since this occurred the most recent I've come across is 6 months. From previous reviews people received their blinds with in a week. This is really starting to drag.

Hi yeah I used Myblinds.ie about 5 or 6 months ago and they were delivered after exactly 10 working days. Was happy enough with the blinds even though they had gotten a couple of little things wrong like side that the pull cord was on etc.
Would be interested to hear how you get on as need to get more blinds very soon.

I ordered blinds off them a while back, delivery was prompt and support was good, can't say anything bad about them tbh. Blinds were good quality.

    Hope you get sorted!

    Hi mikelovenotwar, MagicBusDriver1, SweetCaliber

    Thank you for your replys

I got the impression from my communications my blind had been forgotten. The blind arrived on Thursday (the 7th nov.) via DPD. The long cardboard box was reinforced with two long preformed right angled stripes of card all head together with a copious amount of packaging tape.

The blind looked sturdy and was supplied with brackets, screws, the safety tongle and and (two clear plastic pieces that look like wall fittings for roller blinds though those would usually be metal.)

Upon installing the blind I noticed the corner of the two top fins are bent the rest are perfect. It could only have occurred at assembly.

When raising the blind the whole blind & case slides to the left in its brackets.

The safety cleat (not the version shown in the video) is too small to accommodate the cord of a blind of door height.

That said the blind is quiet in operation and moves smoothly. The individual elements appear sturdy.

At a whole €11 cheaper than the Venetian blind I could have bought here in town. [I was a little high on the 'purchase online' enthusiasm. Hey! people get their 'kicks' where they find them.]

Conclusion: Meeeaaagh! I've smaller sizes to purchase too, I'll probably buy 'em in town. Faster 'n' I can meet face to face, incases of errors.
