Hi, After retuning my parents saorview box they have lost the UK channels but still have all the irish channels.. This was on 2 saorview boxes and a new lg tv.Before the retune they used to receive freeview channels from the north, signal not as strong as irish channels but enough level to lock up.
They are about 40 miles from border in navan. Has anything changed with the transmission of these channels?

mux 2 has blocked out another mux from the north (sky news, Dave, Food Network etc) so there are now 2 mux's from Divis blocked due to Mount Leinster, however you should still be able to receive the main mux with BBC channels, ITV, Channel 4 and Channnel 5 as well has a handfull of other channels such as E4, Filmfour, RT, Viva etc.

Thanks, but there are no uk channels at all. I did note that before the retune , the uk channels were losing lock more than before, still watchable but picture break up sometimes. The parents said they had a few windy days before that, so maybe aerial has moved a bit but when locked onto irish channels the signal quality is 100% and signal power is 82%. Do the irish and uk channels come from same transmitter or different ones? Which transmitters are for navan?

Navan is quite a ways from Belfast, so the signal levels for the UK channels are marginal.
Try tuning it manually Ch 21 ,24 (HD channels), 27 should work, the other stuff is 23,26 and 29.

Still have some U.K. channels in Athlumney Castle in Navan after rescan.
