Alright lads I have a bit of a problem with my 406 the brake light are not working none of the 3 are working. I checked the bulbs in the back but they are fine I changed the brake light switch and still they are not working. I check all the fuses and they are fine all other light are working and everything in the car is working. It is a Peugeot 406 2.0 hdi 110bhp. I have Peugeot planet and no problems are coming up.

As biko says, is there current at the bulb?

It's the brake light switch, always is with the Peugeots :)
That or you didn't notice the bulbs going one by one :)

As long as the driver's window still opens, it should be grand :)

Could be the BSI. Try disconnecting the Battery for 15 mins or so (Ignition key out, all doors and windows shut, and leave a few minutes between closing door and disconnecting Battery). This is similar to rebooting a computer and can 'sometimes' cure small faults....worth a shot as it's free.
If no joy then it would probably work out cheapest to just re-wire the bulbs in from the switch back. Just use a Fuse, a fresh live feed and a relay and all should be fine.
Two Citroen's here, and plenty of electrical faults cured by bypassing the BSI CanBus system.

I have good news and bands news. The good news is that I fixed the brake lights today the bad news is my front dipped light is not working and is not getting any current. The joys of having a french car
