    Hi Guys

I have a 4 year old house with a baxi gas burner. I bled some rad's the other day and since then i have no heat as pressure isnt high enough

I reckon i just have to repressurise it but i dont know where the value / filling loop is ? In a new house , will it be under the boiler or under sink / hot press ?

I turned two black valves under the boiler but they didnt help!

    Thanks for any help

I cant do this at work to show you, but type in filling loop in google and checkout images of what a filling loop looks like. I'd look under sink or in hotpress around cylinder you may find it.

Make sure not to pressure it up too much.

but do you have to attach the filling loop or will it be attached already ?

IT should be disconected when the system is pressurised but this being Ireland it will most likely still be connected

The fill loop is most likely in hot press take a few pics of it make sure you get all pipework

Defo no fill loop in hot press. 4 pipes, 2 with red taps on them. Hot tank

Only after looking at all pics in pic 5 there is a brass valve with a gauge on it that's a auto fill valve when the water pressure drops in the heating it's supposed to top the water back up automatically. At the bottom of valve there is a black knob make sure it's opened fully anticlockwise
They have a habit of jamming if it won't open it would probly need replacing

And should the boiler be on for this step?

Ok . I tried it with this valve both ways and nothing. I'm getting a flame failure now

What is the pressure reading on the front of boiler boiler will work at pressure as low as 0.2 bar if flame failure is coming up I noticed in pic 5 gas supply to boiler is turned off yellow lever valve (why)
More than likely the auto fill valve I'd fecked and will need replacing

yeah but its all very co-incidental that this happened after bleeding the rads ? or i suppose its possible that the valve was faulty for a while and only showing up now when i bled the rads.

forgot about yellow handle, will fix that this evening and just try it again but im sure i have done this already

Put yellow back and we have flame now. Still no pressure, even with changing that black cap on the valve to both directions

Fella called for tomorrow but I know this is something so simple !!

Pic attached , do any of these taps have to change ?

No all valves should be ok as I said the auto fill valve needs to be replaced when its removed he might be able to free it up.
Low pressure it nothing to worry about as if it gets to low the boiler will cut out and not work until water pressure is restored
Main thing is you have heat

    Does the boiler fire?
Under the work top there is a blue box it's a motorised valve there is a lever on it if you move this lever it should lock into an open position and see if that does the job

There are 3 of those boxes. I flipped this lever on the bottom one but no good. I did that the last time and it did the trick ( can't remember if I did something else too cos a guy was talking me through it on phone )

there was a tiny black screw on top of that black valve that when turned , the pressure came back on.

water started leaking in the hot press then though so guy had to change a brass fitting to stop in.

all in all i needed help

    thanks for the help though.
