So, i'm buying coilovers for my polo ( getting them delivered ), but don't have proper place or equipment to get them fitted. So wondering how much would cost to do it in garage? It's just labor, since I have all the parts.

Not just the fitting but the setting up of it. The right pretension, desired height, camber adjustment, tracking also have to be considered

    So how much you reckon?

A garage will probably charge you around €300 for labour and then you'll need someone that really knows how to set them up (like the tuning factory) and that'll cost a bit too, not sure how much.

Which are you getting? Fully adjustable or just ride height?

Cheaper solution would to order a spring and damper kit.
Then have the vehicle re-tracked after fitting.

Lack of knowledge about suspension in the car modding world bugs me. Had a guy say to me "I dont want to fit coilovers because they make the ride too hard"

Drives a civic. Its std suzzys is coilovers.

does anybody get the car 'corner weighted' i think is the term. not sure tho. where they put the car on scales one on each wheel. and they adjust the suspension till the car is evenly balanced. so the 2 front scales read the same, and the 2 back scales read the same. they done it on wheeler dealers with the lotus elise.

You'll only see the full benefit of corner weighting on a track.

it must make some improvement on the road tho? i figure you wont get the full benefit because you wont(shouldnt) be doing the speed you will on a track.

    I need 60mm drop.

I have a soft spot for
    http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/suspension-kits/car/volkswagen/polo-94-02/1996/bilstein-b10-suspension-power-kit-lowers-front-60mm-rear-40mm

I drove an MR2 a few years ago with bilstein dampers and springs and it was the only MR2 I ever felt comfortable feeding in power early.

    Other options are
    KYB (do adjustable dampening shosks)
    SPAX etc

You can get 60mm lowering springs but factory dampers are not usually up to the job.

Note the higher the spring rate the stiffer the ride will be.

What type of tyre are you running. Profile tyre....
    What wheel Size?
How stiff do you want your suspension?
Do you have any driveways or hills speed-bumps you want to get over?
    Year of Car
    Model
    Engine Size..

Is it function or look you want?
    Ogh and Budget....

Someone here will be able to help.....
