Traverse rod curtain

    Hi I want to re-string a traverse rod for my curtain and am wondering can anyone tell me how to calculate how much string I will need.

    Width x2 plus drop x2. But it is probably well worn if cord is broken, buy a new one and save yourself some grief.

    it isn't old, the woman who asked me to do it has 3 mad boys and they pulled it down and pulled cord out of it. What do you mean drop by 2. Is it from rail to ground times 2. and if we don't want the cord to drop so far do I lessen this measurement

    Are you for real? Whatever drop you decide, multiply it by 2. Didn't think i'd need to say this, but dont forget to get enough to tie knots on the end.

    Thanks for your help. Got that job sorted a few days ago and it was no way as complicated as I had taught :)
