Hi,

I have an eircom broadband and phone account but I am now moving out of my current apartment and I need to cancel the account.

Is it possible to do this online via the Eircom website or by logging into my Eircom account?

If not what procedure is required to cancel the account?

Bumping this!

I have contacted cancellation and sent the email to phonecancellations@eircom.ie and received the automatic reply but no confirmation that my account will actually be cancelled, do I await for such confirmation or does it just become automatically cancelled?

I suggest you phone Eircom 1901.  The 30 days cancellation period only starts when they receive your written letter!! Why not post on "TALK to" Eircom

Hi guys,

Just to let you know of the cease / move process in full.

eircom now require a 30 day notification to cancel the broadband service and phone service. We require customers to contact our service team on 1901 enter your telephone number (select option 4 - option 4 again)   They will take a record of the call and then transfer you to the cancellation department.

eircom cancellations will take a record of your intention to cease and give the e-mail address or postal address to send the written request. They will follow up 30 days later to insure the cancellation order has been processed assuming eircom have received a letter or e-mail 30 days after receipt.

I know this process seems a little complicated but this way there should be two records of the customers call to cancel the account as well as the e-mail or letter they subsequently send in. Also the customer may need to be advised of any possible contract cancellation charges.

So should you ever need to enquire about the request we have a few options to track it from the the first call.

Thanks, Mark

Hi,

I have posted over in the forum on the Eircom website also but no response yet so posting here as well:

I have gone through this process and rang eircom to confirm the cancellation, while on the phone I also changed my address for the final bill, however 30 days have passed, the monthly cost has been taken from my bank via direct debit and yet I have never recieved a bill or confirmation that the service has now ceased at my old address.

Can it be checked that the service has ceased and can I get a letter sent to my new address confirming this?
