Usain Bolt’s memoir “Faster Than Lightning” is set to be released this week, and according to the New York Post, it is complete with scandalous tales of his relationships, his potential failures and his love of McDonald’s. According to the newspaper, during the Beijing Olympics the then-22 year old didn’t want to eat Chinese food, so instead subsisted on McNuggets. Which is amazing and disgusting at the same time.

    From the Post:

At first I ate a box of 20 for lunch, then another for dinner. The next day I had two boxes for breakfast, one for lunch and then another couple in the evening. I even grabbed some fries and an apple pie to go with it,” he writes.

He estimates that during the 10 days he spent in Beijing, he downed 100 nuggets every 24 hours. That equals 1,000 chunks of chicken. “Man, I should have gotten a gold medal for all that chowing down
    ,” he writes.

Bolt won three gold medals during that Olympics. Each McNugget, in case you were wondering, has 47.5 calories, 4.5 grams of protein, 3 grams of fat and 90 mg of sodium.

He keeps mentioning his love of McDonalds chicken nuggets. I wonder is there a possible endorsement deal with McDonalds? It would be great for their brand. The fittest and fastest man in the world, also eats some of the ****test food in the world. I have had Chinese McDonalds and it is ****. You can barely eat it 3 days in a row, never mind 1,000 chicken nuggets.

Probably because only certain IOC sponsored sponsors were allowed and available.

McDonalds - Official Restaurant of the XXIX Olympiad.

You're obviously not endorsed or sponsored by them.

The sad thing is some people will take that as he ran fast in-part because of eating the chicken nuggets, when it's really that he ran so fast in spite of eating them. Big difference.
