A luxurious NYE in Dublin City Centre?

    Hi,

    Does anyone have any suggestions for something to do on NYE in Dublin city centre? We don't really want to be in a pub or club. We have already booked into our favourite hotel, now we just need somewhere to eat and have a few drinks. We will be dressing up, as in formal gowns etc. So it needs to be somewhere where we wont be totally out of place in this kind of attire.

    Where we actually ring in the New Year depends on what we end up doing. If its just dinner and drinks then we will see in the new year on the hotel balcony watching the fireworks. Or if there is a really good ball on somewhere in the city we may well stay there for the countdown.

    I've googled a few places but nothings really striking the right cord at the minute.

    A masquerade ball would be fun but I haven't managed to find any yet.
