    Hi All,
last night my citreon xasara picasso had the passanger side window smashed in and the glove box searced but nothing was taken. Glove box was open when i wet out to it. Im wondering will my insurance cover the replacement ? im fully comprehensive. Also will it affect my no claims bonus? Is it a case of just ringing them up and getting them to send someone out to replace it or will I have to drive somewhere and have it done?
    thanks

If you have glass cover then it'll be straightforward and won't affect your NCB, if not then your excess would probably be higher than the cost of the glass. BTW, make sure they fit the right colour glass - hold a white tissue behind it to check.

Had the same thing happen me a while back.

If you've windscreen cover it should cover all windows on the car.

There are all questions that you need to ask of your insurer. Generally speaking glass cover is included with fully comp policies and a claim for glass will not count against you in any capacity (NCB or premium), but it really depends on the policy that you have.

Just call one of the windscreen companys and give your policy no they will tell you if you have cover or not you won't even have to call insurance co they will look after it i worked for a windscreen and most people just rang direct as said above make sure you get the right shade glass

The OP's insurance company may have an agreement in place with a specific windscreen replacement company and may only partially cover the cost of going to another windscreen replacement company. I know from my own policy if I use a non preferred windscreen replacement company I have to pay the bill up front myself, then fill out forms and claim the money back from my insurance company.

The OP is best advised to read his/her policy documents and/or contact their insurance company directly. They will put you through to the windscreen replacement company straight away if you are covered.
