Picked up The Monster High dolls that were on another thread here reduced half price from €26 to €13 and are on the 3 for 2 offer..so basically 3 dolls for the price of one! Xmas shopping has started.

Reserve same items, return what you bought for a refund and buy again at the 3 for 2 price. Cheeky but I have done it myself before, but I did return to one store and reserve from a different one just not to be so obvious!

A word of caution lads and lassies -

    A little survey Amazon.co.uk vs Argos.ie for stuff I was after -

Thrash Pack Science Kit - Stg 9.99 (€12.20) vs €17.99

    Holografx - Stg 19.99 (€24.37) vs €38.13

Monopoly Empire Board Game - Stg 13.99 (€17.07) vs €19.99

    Total Amazon - €53.64

Total Argos - € 58.12 (including Thrash Pack Science Kit €17.99 being FREE)

Amazon free delivery as over Stg 25.00

There is some good deals there - like on the Annuals for example at 3 for €9.98 but it pays to shop around,

Might be 3 for 2 in Argos but might not be saving at that.

    Argos packed this morning.

Someone else started an Amazon Lego Sale thread and I did a comparison, 3 items on Amazon - Stg 27.91 (€ 34.03), Exact same 3 items on 3 for 2 in Argos - € 47.98 (after taking €11.99 off)

The difference in buying off Amazon vs Argos with their offer - Amazon is the Winner € 13.95 less than Argos (and free delivery to my door)

Shop around lads and lassies, shop around.

Got most of the kids Xmas presents with this, thanks OP.
Good savings (didnt buy lego so amazon didnt compare)
    Cheers.

Gotta agree with you. Did all my son's shopping on amazon , only few bits of lego.. Ordered a few bits thru parcelmotel. Compared everything to smyths and argos. Worked out much cheaper. And the black Friday coming up I'll get a few more bits I'd say.

The Lego has now dropped in price in Argos, probably a reaction to Amazons reductions.

Picked up some more Monster High dolls today... kids will be delighted. Ended up in Smyths for the babies stuff though because it worked out cheaper even with the 3 for 2.

Thanks OP. Toy shopping done for Christmas! Mine were all cheaper in argos than smyths or Amazon. Guess it depends on what you're getting.
