I think a lot of people were disappointed with 'Hector breaks for the border' from a few days ago, which didn't really delve very far into the cultural similarities and differences in Ireland, but this programme tonight has better potential imo.
BBC journalist and broadcaster William Crawley attempts to learn the Irish language. As well as learning the language, he learns about the language and its place in society today. At the end of it all he attempts to co-present BBC Radio Ulster's Irish language radio show Blas, but has he set himself a challenge too far?

I find William Crawley to be a more likeable broadcaster than Nolan and I believe, like Nolan, he comes from a unionist background, so this could be quite interesting.

It's tonight at ten o'clock on BBC 2.

Yes, I enjoyed it too. Fair play to him for making the effort. Makes me feel bad that I've not done more myself.
