I am going to be upgrading my PC to a gaming one. I have 400 to spend on it and could possibly stretch to 450. So at the minute I have several parts for it including:

    -Monitor
    -Case - http://goo.gl/RlFPHf
    -Motherboard - Medion P6300 MS-7646 Socket AM2 PCI-Express
-1TB Hardrive - Should Do me
-3gb-4gb of RAM in it but need more
-CPU - Amd Athlon ii x4 2.6ghz - 2.8ghz somewhere around that I think I need to upgrade it to avoid bottlenecking a good GPU
    -Optical Drive
    -Have Windows 7

Thats pretty much everything I'm not sure about the power supply but if possible please add in and I'll take it away if I don't need it.

    1. What is your budget?400-450

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming on most games in High to Ultra settings. Eg BF4, Rome 2, Skyrim etc.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Mentioned Above

    5. Do you need any of these peripherals? A Nice Keyboard and Mouse but not extreamely needed unless there is a bit of money to spare

    6. Are you willing to try overclocking? yes

    7. When are you purchasing? Next few weeks

Could some tell me what the part attached is have new clue!? And can it be used?

Oh alright man thanks! Won't use it so but anyway would you know any parts I should get for the build?

You'll need to sell that machine for about 150-200, whatever you can get, and add it to your budget of about 600 total, which will get you a respectable gaming machine. The Medion is a dead end and is not upgradable to the specifications you want.

TerrorFirmers right. Theres nothing really reuseable there as pre built pcs generally cant be upgraded to a high standard. Sell it and come back with a new budget and well be glad to knock up a build.

    Not great.

Instead of the 750K, go for Fx6300. 750K is too slow, though it would do on an extremely tight budget, 450 is enough to get the 6300.

    Case wise, look at this.

    PSU wise, this.

GPU, this is only 150 delivered and it seems to never be the actual OEM card, rather whatever Pix seem to have excess stock of, but 150 inc delivery.

Mobo, something like this, will allow for semi-decent overclocking. Decent stock performance, add a 3rd party CPU cooler down the line for the overclocking part, but stock is OK on a budget.

Ram wise, 4GB will be OK for the moment if you want to stick within budget, can upgrade to 8gb later if you're stuck for the money.

With all the above you're good for gaming at 1080p high-ultra settings. Hope it helps!

+1 for the FX6300. FX6300 is the best chip now for price/performance. Look how well it does in BF4, http://gamegpu.ru/action-/-fps-/-tps/battlefield-4-test-gpu.html

I have almost that exact build as recommended by terror and its great. The CPU and gpu can both be over clocked and the case is grand. Maybe add an extra two 120@mm fans down the line too.
nice system that won't break the bank

And what kind of settings does it run BF4, Skyrim and Crysis 3 at? Thanks for feedback!

    High-Ultra, dependant on resolution.

Thanks for all the help but is there anyway possible that the case and power supply combo I mentioned can be used it will keep me more on price target and on a separate question can I use the hdd in my laptop in a desktop? I think I can but not sure.

    Cheers

Basically cases with psu's built in tend to be cheap and cheerful. Especially when they are that cheap. Terrors build is solid. Maybe you coud shave some money off the build but try not to cheap on the psu. If it blows it can and probably will take something with it. Usually something expensive too.
