    Hi everyone,

    Im hoping somebody here can help as my local Social Welfare Office seem to never be able to answer my questions for me - I always end up with them telling me conflicting things!

    I completed a 9 month Jobbridge internship and there was no prospect of a job following this and I had to finish up as 9 months was the maximum time allowed by FAS. It was an extremely challenging internship but I was glad to get the experience in that area. Since this, I have been for several interviews for jobs but I am having no luck whatsoever! So I am considering taking a second Jobbridge internship... I heard the announcement a few weeks back that they were planning to extend the programme so that a person can complete two internships (18 months) but I have been told that this is just a plan and has not come into place yet. Has anybody here applied for a second internship or do they know when this proposal for an extension to 18 months will come into place?
