Replacing bathroom basin taps

I need to replace my bathroom basin taps and have got the new taps here. I want to have a go at it myself

I know i need to turn the water off. I went outside and located the water meter but couldn't see a stopcock there to turn off? Is it enough to turn off the stop cocks in the hot press & under the sink and drain the attic tank?

The house is detached, in an estate built in the mid 2000's

A procedure that I have adopted in the past is to plug the outlet from the storage tank with a wine cork (having first drank the wine to obtain the cork). Then open the lowest taps (in the bath) to drain the system and work away.

The stopcocks you require for your hot and cold bathroom taps should be in your hotpress adjacent to your copper cylinder.

if you have isolation valves fitted on the hot and cold supplies under the basin then simply use a flat head screwdriver and turn them to the off position . no need to go and turn off stop cocks and water to the house or the bathroom itself .
turn off the isolation valves then open the taps to let out what ever water is then in them and take the taps off the basin . its very easy and simple to do .
