    well €1.20 after tax.....

I got an email from CCURE advertising a sale on the Elsevier website. had a look and yes, they are selling ebook versions of their catalogue for €1 (stuff like Harlan Carvey's excellent Windows Registry Forensics or Forensics with Open Source tools).

it does require registration and you have to use the dropdown in the title bar to set your region to Europe to get the Ireland option (I think its for taxes etc)

    http://store.elsevier.com/coArticle.jsp?pageid=17600016&locale=en_EU

some of the books are too expensive to start with (there's a bioinformatics book there for €192 - that's €1 in the sale :D )

you can only add 3 books at a time to your basket

be sure to select DRM free version of the ebook

apply the code ONESALE (all caps) in the basket to reduce the prices to €1 each and then you get 20c tax per book on top of it.

Not sure that this is wide ranging enough to be a bargain alert but certainly the information security topics are well represented (CISSP study guide is in there too).

sorry if people already know about this, I had to test it first before I posted.

Thanks for sharing the code, do you know if there is limit on how many times it can be used?

Thanks for the tip. I bought "CISSP Study Guide", "CUDA Application Design and Development" and "Digital Forensics with Open Source Tools".

    €3.60. Bargain!

seems to be unlimited per person, just limited to 3 titles at a time

Bah. CISSP Study Guide seems to have been pulled from the offer and replaced with the first edition of 11th Hour CISSP.

I think that's a "I'm not really asking you to send me a copy of the ebook you paid for in a way that is against the copyright of the material but if that's how you interpret it and send it on I'm not going to be to blame" rolleyes....

    :D

Was more a live in hope look than a roll eyes look :)....goes and buys a big rug to sweep other considerations under.
