Recommendations for a Double Oven

Hi, I hope that I can get some advice here.

We are in the market for a new Double Oven. We have a Belling Formula for almost 18 years that has served us well but the fan has been v noisy for a few years and door is now not shutting properly.

I would like to replace it with a good reliable make. Not looking for specialised programmes / electronics. Preferably a make that will give another 18 years of daily use.

I had been thinking of Miele but they only make single ovens, are there any other brands that give comparable reliability? At the moment Bosch, Neff, Zanussi and Electrolux are the best options.

Also, is anyone aware of any regular sales of any of the above brands? DID and Power City seem to be best options for purchase so far.

    Thanks.

Have an Electrolux myself for 6 years now, never a bother so far.

I'd definitely recommend one, particularly the ones with the wrap-around catalytic liners.

As already said, the BSH trio of Bosch, Siemens and Neff would be excellent too.

    It may depend on budget.

We bought a zanussi 6 years ago when we built our house, it's broken down twice and had nothing but trouble with it turning itself off.

Electrolux was always in our home growing up so I may try that this time , we also have a zanussi dish washer, and their the 2 things that have given us problems

Does anyone know any information about the reliability of IKEA ovens?

We have a Belling Synergie built in oven. Its twelve years old and the main oven has packed in, I think element is gone. The main oven door needs replacing too. Just wondering it it worth repairing or should I go for a new one? I reckon it will take at least a couple of hundred to fix but could be even more.

That oven is made by electrolux btw. You might be able to pick the electrolux branded version cheaper. Had a few electrolux ovens and very happy with all of them.

Same with me qprmeath mine is a belling synergie had it for last 11 years and the fan in main oven has stopped working plus the top oven door just shattered. I was told given the age and having to replace the door aswell that I would be better off replacing the oven. Heading off now to buy one. Thanks gambas might take a trip to ikea to have a look at that one.
