Nicola Furlong trial in Tokyo

Earlier this year, there was a trial over the killing of Nicola Furlong and a serious assault on a friend of hers.

During the reporting of the trial, there was a lot of dancing around directions from the judges restricting reporting .

Was the reluctance on Irish media reporting what they knew, here, a respect for the Furlong family, a fear of being in contempt of a Japanese court( could someone in Ireland be in contempt of a Japanese court?)

    Or something else?
