these wraps that i see around the place, are they hard wearing or do you have to be awful careful around them? will they adhere well to plastic? thinking of some camo wrap fro a set of plastics on a quad i have that are faded and rough looking and it'll be cheaper than new plastics (figured i'd ask here as there would be more exp of it here than in bikes)

plastidip might be a good option for you?

can't see the wrap taking too well to that application?

Neither will work great on a quad. Both can be ripped off by hand so any off-roading/ brush riding will strip it off before long.
I'd use wrap over plastidip though.

Rough sand, rattle cans and camo stencils would be a better option I think
