Lads as this is me first springer i went out yesterday from 8 until 3 with him, hunted heavy stuff and as theres been no frost the briars and stuff are still strong so he has thorns around his eyelids, eyes are swollen today too. Will they be ok themselves after a few days. Heading out in morning to a bit easier goin place for a couple hours. He wouldnt give up even though he was wreked he still was in the cover at 2.30.

baby oil helps them heal that bit quicker and rub it into his face and around eyes not in them and do it after every time u hunt him

Have this problem with all my dogs.. I use bepanthen nappy rash cream.. Thick viscous stuff that doesn't rub off easily. Disinfects and clears up their eyes like no other.. Been shooting a long time and this stuff is the best I've found.

Mmm but sometimes with his drive he can blank the whistle and end up running the farside of the ditch until he has everything cleared and im 60yrds from him. Always on the whistle to keep in contact. I was gona use the E coller but holding out. I done everything i could to get good manners on him over the last year.

Arnica oil or tabs from health and have heard meythylated spirits hardens it but the arnica will reduce swelling and heal it quickly ,,, if he wouldnt hit briars that long hed be no good ,,,, so thats a complement
