150 euro for renting a horse for hunting is pretty standard, and you're getting a very good deal at 25 euro for the cap. Usually you could expect to pay upwards of 50 euro for a day's hunting with a lot of hunts as a visitor. There are also very few hunts that hunt on Sundays in the Kildare area. The North Kildare Farmers do a ride out every Sunday, but it's not a hunt.

You have a few choices to try and cut down on the costs:
    1) try come to an arrangement with the yard you're in where you could get a discount of renting the horse if you went to x number of hunts during the season.

    2) look into horse sharing, and see if anyone would be interested in sharing a hunter with you. This could be problematic if you both wanted to hunt on the same day, or reaching an agreement on how many days per week/month the horse could hunt.

    3) lease a horse. A lot of yards usually have horses that they're willing to lease, where you'll pay livery, etc., but that you essentially 'own' for the term of the lease.
