Windows 8 HDMI Audio

Really annoying problem - whenever I hook my laptop to my TV via HDMI the sound won't come out of the TV. I've googled for a solution, but none seem to work.

It was fine at the start, but I was playing around with audio settings and obviously changed something I shouldn't. The HDMI doesn't even show up under audio devices so I can't enable it.

Is there any way to restore factory settings?

    Reinstall the (latest) graphics driver.

    How do I do that?

My options in Device Manager are Update, Disable and Uninstall.

Change the audio to HDMI output in the Sound Preferences.

You need to get the correct driver from the manufacturers website, such as ATI, Intel, Nvidia etc. The generic Windows drivers don't support many of the video card features

Just to be clear which driver I need to reinstall,

    In Device Manager, I've got:

    Display Adapters
    - Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000

    Sound, video and game controllers
    - Intel(R) Display Audio
    - Realtek High Definition Audio

It's the HD Graphics 3000 one, isn't it?
