    I checked a car reg on motortax.ie and it came back with

    Change Of Vehicle Ownership
    Purchased by a Dealer on :   26/06/2013  

    Notified on :   27/09/2013

    What does this mean ?

    My guess is that it means a dealer bought it/took it as a trade-in on 26/06/13 and sold it on 27/09/13. Is it currently for sale again? The person who bought it from the dealer is possibly either selling it on again to make a quick buck or is selling it on quickly for some other reason.

    Did you ask the seller what the story was?

    No the date of transfer to the dealer was the earlier one.the second date was when Shannon found out.
    Nothing weird here to me, wherever you're buying it, it just means that it's there for 3-4 months.

    Hmmm it means then the dealer has had it since June, that's if he is a dealer, I'll call him again later

    Try googing his number, that always gives results.
    If not then it is that someone has bought it in September, but it doesn't look that way.

    It reads to me that book was signed etc in June and not received by the DoT until September.
