Hey rancher what did you go for in the prattley range and how do you find it .do you find much difference in throughput or less hardship on man and beast , convenience and time saved?

Just bought the scales here as we have the farm well set up with Cormac equipment already, we use TGM Software so the scales links in well with that.
Scales is very fast, records as quick as you can punch in the numbers, also the lambs seem to run into it much easier than the old metal scales. when picking for the factory now we weigh all the lambs in the bunch, rather than just the heavy ones. The three way gate on the scales is also a bonus too.
No matter what race you use, having sheep trained to a race does save a lot of hardship and time.

Never a truer word said about having sheep trained to a race.
We got one this year and after a couple uses its amazing how they got used to it. We should have got one a long time ago

Yep I got nor too. Trying to make life as handy as possible. Don't have much time these days so need everything set up well. I have the old type weighing scales with the new electronic clock. Takes time to settle when the lamb is moving about so much.

    No problem.
The digital scales is the TruTest ID 3000, IT has good software built in, it will give you weight, live weight gain since last weighing when you put in the number, group average, and min/max weight.
You can also download it onto a spreadsheet or onto a printer,
The TruTest ID 3000 has Bluetooth as well, so between everything it's only limited by you, we have a psion reader that's compatible with it too
The TGM software will record any information you want, we have the register on it and record all the animal remedies, lambings, etc to each individual ewe.
I presume you know that all this stuff is eligible for grants until the end of the year
