Now that halloween is over I am left to think about Christmas and NewYears.

Decided that I need something different this new years and was thinking along the lines on Achill or Kilkee, rent a house with a few friends. Was looking for somewhere where there be lots more people staying around for the celebrations and a good atmosphere.

All opinions and experiences greatly appreciated.

Achill can be rough (weather) in the winter and there probably won't be anyone around.

Come to think of it a lot of these places are dead in the winter, you'd be better off looking at a hotel stay in one of the city's

You won't find much of atmosphere in those places you mentioned

Get a cabin somewhere nearby a lake and go fishing and boating and discover mother nature. Be at one with nature, feel its beauty and its pain. Cleanse yourself in its waters, drink its sweet air.
