    Hi,

I installed the card and using the CD that came with it. It suggested the usual restart so I did that, however the restart stayed as a black screen, I eventually powered off. I have since removed the card and the PC boots fine off the integrated graphics.

    Specs
    Asus Z87-A Mobo
    16gb RAM Cosair Vengence
    i7 4770 K
    PSU AX 760

Now I dont have a proper monitor at the moment, using a 720p Samsung TV HDMI in.

Any ideas ? is there some driver problem Im not aware off ?

Going to have a look in the BIOS at the outputs, might be something I didnt change

Why do you think the problem is the tv?

Is the graphics card set as the primary adapter in the bios?
Is the motherboards bios up to date?

Is the tv connected to the gpu rather than the mobo?

You probably checked already? If you can borrow beg or steal another monitor to check that would rule it in or out

Hi, as I said the problem was with the TV. Seems to have a problem where if it doesnt get a right "input signal" immediately after turning on it just stayed dark. Switched to an old monitor and finished the install. I can switch back to the TV now and its usable.
