Until December 18th. Includes £5 voucher for duty free and you can get off the ship in Holyhead! Gives you nearly 3 hours there. Might be a nice family day out for some (nightmare for others!). Full details on their website. Can't link from my phone.

You could sneak a bit of drink on in your jacket, Presumably they would let you bring a small rugsack.

Great price - Think of it as a cheap cruise

Whats required in regards identification to go the UK for children?

I have a passport but neither of my kids have any photo ID,would they get asked for any in either port?

I know I probably sound ridiculous but what's to stop people from buying 2 on different days and getting off at holyhead and then getting the one home a few days later or even later that day? As said above they'd allow you to bring a small rucksack.

The T&Cs. If you're not on the return leg you get charged the full price; and the second ticket wouldn't be valid for the return leg due the outbound not being used.

Ah but theres a way around this if your travelling with another person. Book the outbound trip using person A's details and the return using person B's

Actually you HAVE to get off. Only max 1.5 hours on land as you have to check in again 45 minutes before departure and you cannot be late as you are bussed to the ship from the terminal.

I went last week. Nice trip, not much to see in Holyhead. Cheapish chocolate on board is a bargain and free wifi is useful.

Was a better bargain @ €5 in the Summer.

would anyone be able to tell me about the £5 off £25 in the shop? Do you just present your boarding pass to the checkout person?

    http://www.stenaline.ie/ferry/faqs/passports-and-visas/im-a-british-irish-citizen-do-i-need-a-passport-to-travel/

no irish or british citizen needs a passport. From an immigration point of view, going to Wales is EXACTLY the same as going to Newry - both part of the UK only one you drive to the other is by ship

travelling by air is completely different since some lads 12years ago started using them as weapons, but id checks there on routes to the UK are security rather than immigration related.
