There's a site called amazon.com that sells some cameras. What do you need it for?

    Thanks for reply.

A friend of mine suggested this camera:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0074K1JUE/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=electronics

I was just wondering if there was any similar spec (but a bit cheaper) was going to look on some websites, but dont know where to look!

Sorry to state the bleeding obvious but have you considered typing 'digital camera reviews' into Google?

Amazon UK also make it easy to pick a camera, you can drill down by feature or price to narrow the selection offered, it couldn't be easier.

Well, to state the bleedin obvious back to you, I want to buy off a reputable site. Not one willy nilly I found through a google search.

Wow, arent you a little ray of sunshine.

How about giving a tiny piece of information about what you want the camera for and whats you budget?

you'd think after a couple thousand posts you'd not fail so hard at this whole internet thing.

You are picking on the wrong person here.

I came on here asking a legit question, not to get abuse, called stupid, or belittled.

Ive given a link to a round about spec to a camera I would like, if youd actually read my post instead of being a smart ass/sniping over nothing really.

Or maybe you like picking arguments with girls who are just looking for plain advice on a camera.

Makes you feel good, does it?

dellas … in order for people who know about cameras to help you …they want to know what you want to photo so they can recommend a camera/lens combo suitable (often outside of the recommended price range)

to be fair …. there's no point in looking at a Point and shoot or bridge camera if you are planning on shooting sports, similarly there's no point in recommending a wide-angle lens for trying to get close to the action.

    its all about perspective.

do you know or want to know more about photography ? are you planning on improving or just want a camera to take snapshots ?

if you simply want a camera to take photos then most modern cameras will do, if you want to move up in the ladder and improve your photography - then let people know what you plan on taking photos of and they can recommend some gear.

for recommendations of websites …. depending on the equipment there are a number of websites/shops which would save you money …. have you considered the secondhand market ? or does it have to be new ?

In my first post, I was not looking for a particular camera, rather where to buy one (online).

    THATS ALL I ASKED.

Second post was to one I might be interested in. I had no intention of seeking advice about a camera, just where to buy one (ONLINE).

Bar maybe one reply, ther rest has been border line/crossed the line of abuse/gender typing/and general mockery. NONE of which I started.

Its a flamin joke in here, to ask a simple question, and not even a mod to be seen.

do you want to buy high end or prosumer or consumer end of the market …there are different sources on the internet for different levels of camera equipment.

I could recommend you hundreds of websites but there's no point unless you help me to help you …. without insulting you…. your question is like going up to a random stranger and asking where to buy a piece of wood, the person might want to know what kind of wood you want or what you want the wood for before recommending a place.

in terms of camera equipment there are lots of online sources, in terms of quality equipment there are plenty of resources, there is a balance between quality and price which needs to be found, in an effort to be helpful …. what do you want to do with the camera ? what do you know about photography ? and I will try to find you a suitable camera.

to put it bluntly …if you understand the differences between an f2.8 and f5.6 on a lens then theres no point in me showing you websites where they sell lenses at the lower end of the scale …and cameras at that end…. I would have to point you in a different direction, for example …Kerso in scotland, DLK in Belfast, a couple of German and Dutch websites…a place in London etc etc.

Also …just to point out …. many people do not want to reveal where they purchase equipment to a stranger - you normally recommend to a friend, for all we know you are trying to compile a list of where to purchase equipment for a website so you can buy from them and re-sell for cheaper…. I don't want to insult you but it really is helpful if you tell people what you want to information for.

gender typing? i don't see any of that on here.
i basically see questions from yourself that would get a response like "how long is a piece of string?"
granted, the responses could have been nicer, but you really did need more info to go along with your question.

there are four moderators on this forum. maybe we were all eating our dinner at the same time?

corkbah has given you some information in the above posts, so hopefully that will help you.

If you are in the South-East , you may be familiar with the Sam McCauley range of Chemists .

They have some brilliant offers at the moment , and provide after-sales service , which is very important .

If you are not in the SE , you could still but online here :

OP … by all means goto sam mccauley, argos, connscameras, berminghams or your local camera shop's website (you did say online) … but you will ALWAYS get a cheaper deal elsewhere in Europe and beyond.

there's places like Dabs, pixmania, amazon, then again there are also cheaper versions of these like dabs4work and pixmania business accounts etc. …and then there are websites in other countries with most of the cheaper ones being in germany or holland (and the websites do not have english versions).

There are also some ukranian and polish ones too…..and as I have mentioned in my previous posts, there are other sources for when you want to buy professional grade equipment…which means bigger savings (so far given the link you don't want top quality equipment…. and might be better off simply upgrading your phone and using that !!!) ….oh don't forget Ebay (but watch out for shipping costs and where the product ships from, and if you are ever selling there …watch out for the fee's its a joke)

is that the kind of information you wanted ??

ps. Its possible to get a professional series lens which sells in a shop here in Ireland for €1000 cheaper online.
