Can I connect my TV to UPC point without UPC digital TV?

    Hello,

I have UPC broadband at home, I recently bought a TV, and I want to know if it's possible to connect it to the UPC point (in the wall) to receive free irish TV.

I recently moved to Ireland so I don't know if this is possible.

I have already noticed that the cable connections are different between UPC point (in the wall) and TV, the TV has a normal TV cable output and the UPC point has a coaxial output. Does a TV to coaxial cable exists?

Can I connect my TV with this coaxial-to-antena cable to UPC point and get free irish TV?

Thank you very much and sorry if it's obvious but i don't know if it can work in this way.

The following analogue cable channels are available in Dublin without a decoder if you have a cable connection - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=86334803&postcount=12

Regarding the plugs and sockets, the TV will have a standard Belling-Lee female aerial socket requiring a cable with male co-ax plug at one end.

Can you post a pic or link to the type of connector on the UPC TV point on the wall? Is it a screw-on or push-on type?

Ok thanks, everything resolved, I bought a normal antenna cable with standard belling-lee female aerial socket and I put at the other end a co-ax plug to make it work with the UPC point on the wall.

Now I have the UPC Point on the wall, then a coaxial splitter, one coaxiable cable goes to the internet router, and the other goes to the TV, the one that goes to the TV ends in a beeling-lee female aerial socket.

I attach a photo of the type of connector that i have in my house, it's like the one that UPC shows on his webpage

Thanks a lot for the quick answer!!
