Going to get a laptop, probably in the next couple of weeks

First of all, is it stable? Just glancing through the threads and there seems to be issues.

Secondly, do you need a touch screen to get the most out of it or will a regular screen be just fine

    It's for my 15yr old

    Thanks

Windows 8 is Okay but personally I don't like it and I had it up to yesterday and decided to go back to Windows 7, but it's grand to use and for a 15 year old they'll probably love it, as for touchscreen, it's designed for touchscreen but works just as well for regular screen.
