sorry, this is hardly high fashion stuff but I imagine folks here would know.

With 2 kids at home and us both working full time jobs we are getting snowed under with the laundry

I suggested outsourcing it to our local laundrette but my Mrs tells me all our stuff will be shrunk by them as they use tumble dryers.

Is there any truth in this ?

How else are they going to dry the clothes?

I worked in my dad's for years, we weren't serial shrinkers :D

If you're worried just leave in harder wearing items - jeans, shirts, underwear etc. and wash anything more delicate at home

I love leaving mine in every now again and getting everything back neatly folded, socks matched etc.

I'll back it up, I've worked in them for years with my parents, I've never had any of my clothes shrunk, and never had a complaint from anyone about clothes being shrunk before.

Glad to be out of the drudgery now, esp around the mental Christmas season! Ours was in Kevin St and the residents of the flats would strip the whole place & get it washed for Xmas!
