Posted in this thread, but not getting any feedback. Yesterday the digital TV guide wouldn't work for RTE 1 and today I turned the TV on this evening to find I've lost all my saorview channels and digital radio. I'm based in westside Galway. Did a rescan but nothing. I believe RTE planed on changing things about but most people seem to be OK. Are you picking up saorview in Galway tonight?

They are upgrading Soarview at the moment, I've had to rescan a few times over the past fortnight. Yesterday was the first time I had RTE1 all week.

In that thread they said to scan many times, not just once.

In fairness Biko, I scanned several times all week and was missing at least one channel until last night.

Out of interest, what make is your receiver?
I have two walkers which are approved and they are fine after 1 rescan but the cheapie box in the bedroom is nothing but hassle in the last week, scan after scan but still not getting all the channels...its going in the bin soon.

If the cheapie box is Saorview approved then when things settle down you should get all the channels back.

I scanned last week (Monday/Tuesday) because RTE1 was missing and got it back first time. I thought I was okay until this week, when it went missing again. I scanned 3/4 times this week to get it back.

There was a message from Soarview with information as to what to do in the case of channels being missing on channel 11. So check if you have 11/17/18 listed. If you do check them for information.

It's possible that another rescan or two will be needed, so hold off on throwing anything out.

Got my channels back today after a rescan. They are all over the place, and the guide is useless and I even have test cards on at least two channels.

What kind of upgrade is it? More HD channels?

Don't know, all the website says is that they are expanding the platform. There are no details of what service changes are being provided by this upgrade.

they added a second mux which increases the available bandwidth and will allow rte1 to broadcast in HD before Christmas and tg4 at a future date. Rte1 is in fact broadcastingmost programmes in HD since the upgrade.

what make of box is it? You will need to move your channels using your "program/channel list " list option from the main menu.
there is instruction on this sitehttp://www.2rn.ie that covers some boxs .If your box is sold on this site you may find a video that will show you what to do http://www.tvtrade.ie

Its a saorview compatible TV so no box. I know how to move the channels about but I'm not bothered until the whole thing settles down. Just so long as I can actually watch TV that is...
