There are loads of tutorials out there.

Try Adobe learning centre - http://tv.adobe.com/channel/how-to/lightroom-tutorials/

Or Lightroom Killer Tips - http://lightroomkillertips.com/

Or Scott Kelby Lightroom training - http://kelbytraining.com/online/courses/lightroom

Or try using Google to look for Lightroom tutorials.

While the basics aren't all that tough (although the look of the main LR screen can be very intimidating), it would help to know what kind of photography you do.

Less is more. Think of post-processing as a tool to improve a good photo, not a way to make a bad photo better.

Lightroom and Photoshop are so easy to use that people go crazy with saturation and clarity and filters and selective colour when they first discover them. But the end result rarely looks good.

Wait until you have a solid grasp of both the software and the camera before making extensive changes to any photo.

It's hard to beat LR. I wouldn't be without it.
