Duties charged on an imported NFL Jersey

    Hey there

I'm considering buying in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey from footballfanatics.com, and I was wondering if there are big duties on them. I got a hockey jersey imported for christmas before, but that was my aunt who did that for me, and I got no wind of what the costs were, but I heard something like 30-40 % on the value of it.

Any help would be appreciated. :D

If it's worth less than 150 euro, then you just have to pay vat of around 21%. Over 150 you add another ~20% for customs, iirc

Depending on how much you spend, this is the amount of customs duties you will have to pay.

Sale total 0-24.99 would be $50 shipping

Sale total 25-49.99 would be $55 shipping

Sale total 40-74.99 would be $60 shipping

Sale total 75-99.99 would be $75 shipping

Sale total 100-149.99 would be $95 shipping

Sale total 150-199.99 would be $125 shipping

Sale total 200-299.00 would be $150 shipping

Sale total over 300 would be $175 shipping

Can you post a source for this? I seen on the tax website that what Joaquin223 said was all that had to be paid. The website I want to buy from is also offering free international shipping, so I'm not sure if that's applicable?

I could post you the document from the revenue website but it's very long winded and doesn't directly say anywhere what the cost would be. The usual story with customs and vat is what I outlined above. The package will arrive as usual, then DHL (or whoever) will post you an invoice for the remaining vat and customs to be paid, although on some rare occasions they don't charge any at all

It should be 23% of the price + a customs admin fee and if it is being sent via DHL/UPS etc they normally pay revenue directly and then charge you for the convenience.

The list I gave you earlier was emailed to me a few months ago from the Pats ProShop. It gives you the amount of duties to be added to each purchase price range. So when you pay them all this is factored in at final purchase.

If you are not sure whether a price from a website includes customs duties. Then you should really get clarification from them and email your query. The last thing you want is having an order held at customs because duties haven't been paid.

If you are intending on paying the legit price why not consider the actual NFL UK online shop, it comes from the UK so you won't pay any customs or worry that you will get snared
