Some apps not updating Android 4.1.2

With some apps I'm updating I get a message "insufficient storage", this is when I have at least 400MB free system memory free out of 2GB and the update is as little a 7MB .
Phone I'm using is Samsung GT-N7000 Note 1.
When I try to update other apps at the same time they will update no bother, just wondering has anyone came across the same problem

Funny you should ask. Exact same has been happening to me the last couple of days on my G510. What apps are failing as a matter of interest?

Twitter, YouTube but over the past year I've had problems with many different apps.
I recently installed Clean Master which reports on how much free space is available after an update. Sometimes it reports that I have only 1MB free and in a matter of minutes when I update another app without any problem it will report the correct 400MB free
Could it be that Android or Samsung is reserving a portion of available System Storage for it's own updating process?
    It's a bit of a mystery
