Tablet with monitor and keypad

Hi

Is it possible to have a tablet for taking "on the road" but also a keyboard/mouse and monitor back at base so its easier to work from home?

please dont suggest a laptop:) i would like a large monitor at home for the work i would be doing

Asus Transformer TF300T - 10 hour battery for the tablet on it's own with a HD screen, Tegra 3 and 32GB storage. Then at home, you have a keyboard dock that extends battery to 16 hours with 2 x USB ports, SD card slot, keyboard and touchpad with HDMI output (which you could connect to a monitor).

As in a bricks and mortar shop, some may have the tablet alone (could be the older model as well) without the keyboard and a ridiculously high markup. Amazon or eBay is your best bet, only be a few days to arrive as well. The one below had 3G for true on the road connectivity.

Hi, there's a new Asus Transformer with Windows 8.1 it's the T100 and it's available from dabs.ie - €424. Only 32GB on the version they're selling (I'm going to wait till I find the 64GB) but reviews are generally good and say it's a very good machine for the price.
There's also MS Surface RT, Surface 2 and Surface Pro which come with an optional keyboard/cover. Make sure to look up windows 8 RT so that you understand what you're buying if you go down this route.
