Had two orders go missing in the last month 1 from Bleep and 1 from Honest Jons.

Never had this problem before and I've been buying online for years now.

Has anyone else had anything go missing in the last while?

    Cheers

My last order from discogs never arrived. First time I ever had something go missing (buying records about 2 years). And I'm fairly certain the seller sent them as he offered to reship replacements if I paid the shipping. He seemed legit from the various mails that were sent to and from.

Do you think people (possibly postal staff) are stealing records?

I wouldn't have thought so, I've been buying of the web from a variety of sources for over 10 years now and have only once had a no arrival and one damaged record-If the postie accidentally damages it or it is opened by a dodgy centre worker it could be dumped-The alternative is to get it by registered post but this generally is too expensive

Seems a tad false economy that its too expensive to insure yet when it goes missing your down not only the cost of the record but the postage as well. Registered isn't that much more expensive, in my experience its normally at most 10% more. If even. Granted a seller might ship a replacement for free but most ask for the postage, which is reasonable.

I never get anything sent unless its registered.

I have gotten a replacement order shipped from Bleep but it hasn't arrived yet.

When I asked fpr registered post they said they don't provide a track and trace service within the UK or Ireland, only in the US

Anyway hopefully it arrives on Monday, it's only the represses of the first 3 Boards of Canada albums.....

    UPDATE

The records eventually arrived. The one from Honest Jon's took over a month to get here and the second replacement order from Bleep arrived.

    Strange!
