Have you tried turning off your phone totally and then turning it back on?

yes, also i have fitted other simcard in it, which have all worked, i tried the sim in another fone it did not work.

Sounds like a faulty sim then. Go to the nearest Carphone warehouse or contact 48 for a new sim.
