I'm looking at getting a laptop to run autoCAD and REVIT so with these products you need a good graphic card. So any one have any opinions on this

Or if you think another laptop in the same price range is better. I'm open to ideas.

    Thanks
    Ron

Poor processor, poor graphics card, not enough memory.

    Not worth it.

Thanks. Do you have any recommendations for a laptop in this price range?

Problem in your price range is the graphics card. A GT 720M isn't any better than Intel HD4000. I'm no expert on Revit, but I believe Intel HD graphics is certified for the software, Nvidia and AMD consumer graphics are not (doesn't mean they won't work though).

Here's an Acer with a quad Core i7 and 8 GB RAM for the same price @ SOL. Doesn't get much better in terms of processing power within your budget.

    Thanks Torqay.

My current laptop has a radeon graphics card and that seems to work revit and auto cad fine.

I don't need it to be a super laptop so the Intel HD graphics card will do fine
