How long to get appointment for Mater psychiatry?

I went to see my GP over a month ago and she was supposed to refer me to a psychiatrist at the Mater but I haven't received an appointment letter yet. Is this normal? I know I might be waiting for ages for the actual appointment but I would have thought I'd at least be notified of the date by now.

(Sorry if this is in wrong forum, wasn't quite sure where to put it)

    You could try phoning them.

But we are Psychology, not Psychiatry. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialise in mental ill-health.

Thank you! I had no idea it was ok to phone the Mater and ask them (I'm not from Ireland and find the health care system here very confusing). Problem now solved :)
