UPC changeover question

Hi, I moved into a new house for the college year with three other randomers. We are currently paying 50p/m for eircom broadband and 100p/m for UPC with sky sports and no broadband and some other stuff on it we don't need.

I'm looking to cancel the eircom and switch the UPC over to a tv and BB bundle. We can get the same as we have for 100 p/m this way instead of 150p/m at the moment but there is a 45 euro activation fee.

The bill is not in any of our names or the landlords so I was wondering does this qualify one of us as a new customer? This means no activation/connection fee and only 85 p/m for the first 6 months. Also is there a catch even if this is possible.

    Not sure what to do.

12 month bleedin contract, I found found out after. None of us are here longer than next may and there is a 200 euro cancellation fee. We decided to saorview box it and keep the eircom. Means we don't have to pay last months bill either as were all fairly skint.
