    After seeing this show popping up on the "Fawlty Towers/best sit com" thread I thought Id give it a go and Ive been binging on it since, including the "In The Loop" film.

    All fantastic stuff until I got to season 4, Im only on the first couple of episodes and it seems to be gone down a gear, although still good.

    Any other fans on here?

    It's brilliant. When you're finished watching it, I recommend Veep. Not quite as good as The Thick of It, but made by the same people.

    My favourite comedy, except maybe The Office. A tie between them.

    OP, season 4 starts slow but gets better. It's great.

    Finished it. What an amazing show.

    I know the writers said that season 4 could be the final one but a Christmas 60 minute special to let us know what happened after all the fallout of the
    inquiry
    would be great

    Veep just doesn't really work because of the lack of a Malcolm Tucker character. I'm not sure why they thought it would.

    Interestingly, Veep wasn't the first attempt. There was an attempt to make a direct US remake but it failed at pilot:

    Iannucci distanced himself from the pilot stating "It was terrible...they took the idea and chucked out
    all the style. It was all conventionally shot
    and there was no improvisation or swearing.
    It didn't get picked up, thank God."

    Ive just finished watching it from start to finish for the second time in a month.

    The last time I did that was with the UK version of The Office. Superb TV

    After seeing what the lead actress in Veep looked like I decided to give it a go

    Julia Louis-Dreyfus is 52 years old! :eek:

    Episode 3 is en route and, although its not as funny as The Thick Of It (what is?!), its a very easy watch without being a brain dead sitcom.
